Why start a fresh Instagram page instead of using my personal account?

Yes. A separate creator or UGC page is often better. It gives you clean positioning, lets you pick a niche without confusing friends and family followers, and keeps brand content off your personal life. It also makes portfolio and rate cards easier to share with brands.

How much can I earn realistically on UGC India?

Typical campaign payouts on the platform range from ₹2,000 to ₹15,000 per approved video depending on complexity, usage rights, and your tier. New creators often start at the lower end; strong portfolios and ratings move you up.

Do I need a large following?

No. UGC is paid for the video asset, not your reach. Many active UGC creators have under 5,000 followers. Quality, reliability, and niche fit matter more than follower count.

How many brand collab posts per month is healthy?

For new creators: 1-3 paid/brand posts per month alongside organic content. For established creators with engaged audiences: 4-8 per month maximum if organic posts stay consistent.

What happens if I only post ads on my profile?

Audiences disengage, reach drops, and brands may question authenticity. Keep roughly 70% organic/value content and 30% brand or promotional posts.

How long until my first campaign?

After profile completion, admin approval, verification video, and Pro plan: many creators apply within days. Timing depends on niche, location, and campaign demand in your category.

When should I upgrade from Free to Pro?

Upgrade to Starter when you need more than 2 automations or unlimited weekly actions. Upgrade to Pro when you are verified and ready to apply to campaigns, need unlimited Instagram accounts, or want paid booking sessions. Studio adds priority matching and full auto-DM flows.

How do I write a Reel script fast?

Use one hook, one problem, one solution, one CTA. See Module 4 templates. Read the brand brief talking points first and underline mandatory lines.

What verification is required on UGC India?

Identity details (phone, location, etc.), Instagram connection where required, and an approved verification video showing you can deliver on-camera content.

Can I browse campaigns before I'm approved?

Yes, if your profile is complete and not rejected/suspended you can browse live campaigns. Applying requires approval, verification video, and Pro plan.

How do payouts work?

After a brand approves your submission, payouts typically process within 24-48 hours to your registered bank/UPI per platform policy. Check Wallet on your dashboard.

Does UGC India take a commission?

A platform fee applies per transaction (varies by plan tier). See pricing and billing pages for current rates. No monthly fee on the base free creator plan.

Can I use Instagram automation as a creator?

Yes. Connect your Instagram account and set up comment-to-DM or auto-reply rules. Free includes 2 automations and 2,000 weekly actions; Starter adds 25 automations with unlimited weekly actions; Pro is unlimited.

What should my portfolio include?

Best UGC samples (even self-initiated product demos), niche tags, languages, city, rates optional, and clear contact. Link portfolio from applications.

Are bookings and invoices part of being a creator on the platform?

Yes. Optional tools: public booking page for paid calls, invoice/quote generator for direct client work alongside UGC campaigns.

Can I create content in Hindi or regional languages?

Yes. Many campaigns request Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, and other languages. Set languages on your profile.

What equipment do I need?

Smartphone with decent camera, basic ring light, and quiet room. External mic helps. Expensive camera gear is not required for most UGC.

How many revisions are normal?

Most campaigns allow up to two revision rounds for brief-aligned changes. Dispute unreasonable revisions via platform support.

Do I need GST registration?

If your annual taxable turnover crosses GST thresholds, consult a CA. The platform invoice tool helps with GST-compliant documents; this lesson is not tax advice.

Can UGC be a full-time career?

Yes. Creators combine campaign volume, repeat brands, direct clients, bookings, and retainers. Consistency, ratings, and communication speed drive full-time outcomes over 6-18 months for many.

What are Trial Reels and should I use them?

Trial Reels show your Reel to non-followers first so you can test hooks and formats. If metrics are strong, tap Share with everyone. Use them when experimenting, not for every post. You need an eligible professional account (see Instagram Help Center).

Why did Instagram reduce my reach?

Common causes: Recommendation Guidelines (engagement bait, watermarks, unoriginal content), Community Guidelines flags, or weak watch time on recent Reels. Check Account Status first.

Can I repost TikToks to Instagram?

No. Reposting TikToks with visible watermarks can hurt Instagram reach. Export a clean video file or recreate the content natively on Instagram.

What is Account Status?

Account Status is an Instagram settings page that shows whether your content can be recommended to non-followers and which posts may need edits. Fix or appeal issues there before spending on ads or new gear.

Are Broadcast channels worth it?

If you have 1,000+ followers and a professional account, channels give a direct DM line for BTS and polls without feed algorithm filtering. Use 2-5 updates/week; don't replace public Reels.
